2 Chronicles 6:34-7:22; John 16:33-17:3
Are you in need of time alone with God? Jesus was and so are we. What does the Scripture say about prayer and praying? What does this Scripture say about God and His people?
I. Get a clear picture of what Solomon is asking -
A. Will God always be willing to forgive His people? (If they are truly sorry and they ask)
B. Will God continue to bless those who call on Him? (Yes, He delights in blessing His own children)
C. Can we worhip and thank God enough for His blessings? (No)
D. Is God pleased with sacrifice (Not animal sacrifices but heart, soul & mind sacrifices - Psalm 51:17)
E. What happens when we put God first in all things? (He will reveal Himself)
F. What will God do when people take the time to get & stay in His presence? (He will bless them beyond measure)
II. Get a clear picture of what God is saying (and wanting) -
A. He hears our prayers to Him and wants to answer
B. He inhabits places that are set aside for His praise and glory
C. He is the Controller of the Universe in which we live
D. He has always wanted a people...
1. To love and care for
2. Who would love & honor Him for who He is and all He has done for them
3. Who would turn from evil and wrongdoing and serve Him all their days
4. He could bless beyond measure
5. He may share His eternity with forever
6. His blessings are many times conditional - they come when we humbly seek Him and His ways above all else
Do you want victory and testimony? Do you want to live in newness of life?
Start by getting alone and listening to His voice
